6 Tools That Will Help You Create Content

how to create better content

Episode 6

Content is extremely important for SEO, but it’s one of the biggest pain points. What do you write about that you haven’t said before for the past couple of years? What else can you write about that hasn’t been said before? Thankfully there are always great ways to come up with content, ways that you might not have thought about.

In this post, I’m going to share six tools that I’ve used in the past that will help you create content. These tools will help spur ideas of what to write about on your blog and even create content for social media.

1. Google

This first tip is completely free! Simply search the topic in Google and then go to the bottom of the search results where there are related searches. Those are additional keywords that you can look at to see what people are searching for in relation to your topic. You want to create content that people are searching for as well, and you want to answer and solve their pain points.

2. iTunes

The second tool is iTunes. Take a look at podcasts that are in your industry or even competitors. Take a look at the titles of their podcast episodes. This will give you an idea of what people are looking for and give you inspiration for additional content you might not have thought about in your industry or niche.

3. Pinterest

Pinterest is a search engine. Yes, it can be seen as social media, but it is a search engine. So type in your topic to get content ideas and also some keywords that you didn’t think about. Use these ideas and keywords as topics for your own content. Believe me, I know creating content can be really tough, but these are just simple ideas that you can utilize.

4. YouTube

YouTube is the second largest search engine compared to Google. You can find keywords on YouTube as well as just going to your competitor’s YouTube channel or anyone in your space and taking a look at the most popular episodes. What’s the title of the episode that can give you some ideas for content as well?

5. Conferences and Summits

Conferences and summits are a great place to get content ideas, whether they’re in person or virtual. Look at what’s on the agenda. What are the titles of these presentations? Again, just another idea of what’s in your space that you might not have even thought about.

6. Answerthepublic.com

This is another free tool that I love! Don’t be scared by the homepage, I know it looks kind of sketchy. Just get past that and search a specific topic. It will give you topics suggestions for content and what questions people might be searching for in Google (who, what, why, how etc.) based on your topic.

Creating content doesn’t have to take long, and it doesn’t have to be scary. I know you just want to give up, so you just don’t do it. But that is part of the problem of why your website’s not being found by Google. You don’t have fresh content for Google to index. So just by utilizing these six free tools you can come up with some ideas for content creation.
